So you’re thinking about selling DVDs online? You’ve collected a bunch over the years – and you’re sure some of them could bring you a pretty good price. If you want to sell them the easiest way and get top dollar, come to Tunes.

One advantage of selling DVDs online through an experienced reseller is that the store’s associates are constantly keeping up to date on optimal selling prices. We use our knowledge and multiple resources to offer you the best price for all your used DVDs.

In general, the market value of your DVDs will be determined by four factors: Its title, the condition it’s in, how many of the same title we currently have, and its sales history.

We have expansive online sales networks, so it’s important that we look at these four areas when determining a price for your DVDs. When we resell a product, it has to be priced fairly and competitively in its market.

Very popular titles sell better and usually command a higher price than movies or musical events that nobody’s buying any longer. And, of course, the better the condition of the DVD, the higher its value will be. Sometimes, if we’re way overstocked on a certain title, we’re not particularly concerned with adding more of the same, so that will affect the item’s price.

Finally, we look to see how popular the title has been during its time on the market. Titles that have remained big sellers will be worth a lot more than DVDs that have had sluggish sales records.

Another advantage of bringing your DVDs to us is you’ll make your sale a lot faster than with other sales methods. Bring in your DVDs, we’ll look them over, get you a price and out the door you go with quick cash in hand. It’s a zero-hassle sale, especially compared to selling DVDs online on your own.

Tunes buys and sells everything from DVDs, video games and LPs to iPhones, laptops and guitars. If you want to sell any of these and other items fast and get a highly competitive price, come and see us. To inquire about products we buy or sell, call (877) 811-3311, or you can reach us through our website.

If you live in the southern New Jersey area or plan to visit here soon and you’ve got a laptop you’d like to sell for cash, bring it to us. We have a number of channels to sell laptops online and always have buyers looking for what you have.

That means you can always get top dollar for your laptops that you’re not using anymore. When you bring us a laptop computer, we evaluate every aspect of it in order to determine the best possible price for you. What kind of money can you get for your laptop?

First, it will depend on its condition. Computers that have been well taken care of are generally worth more when you sell laptops online than ones that have been beaten up. Age of the unit is also a consideration, and, of course, much of a computer’s value lies in its operating system, speed, storage capacity and other specs.

If your laptop is in good running condition, Tunes wants to look at it. Even if it’s not as “up to date” as newer machines, there’s a buyer for it. And if you’re not using it any longer, then why not recoup some of your investment?

You could instead opt to sell it yourself through Amazon.com or some other online portal. Then you have to wait around for a buyer – which may take a little time, depending on what type of machine you have. Then you have to ship it and take responsibility for it arriving in safe condition. It’s even possible the buyer will want to return it. All of this adds up to TIME spent.

Sell your laptop to us, and it’s walk in, let us inspect it and give you a price, take the cash, and walk out the door. In many cases we’ll give you a better price than what you’d get on the open market because we know more about a machine’s worth than most private individuals.

Got a laptop you want to sell? We know how to buy and sell laptops online. See us first for the best deal. Visit one of our five locations or call (877) 811-3311.

What do you do with your old video games and CDs when you aren’t using them any longer? A lot of people stack them away somewhere to collect dust, figuring if they’re not needed, why have them cluttering up the place? We don’t think they should clutter up the place, either. We think you should sell used CDs online. You can sell video games this way too.

Tunes has plenty of experience and awesome resources for selling these products over the Internet as well as in our stores. It just makes sense that you would want to sell video games or systems you’re no longer using and get some cash back for them. How much cash? It depends on several factors.

First of all, what condition is the video game in? If it’s still in excellent condition, it will bring you a good fair market price It’s the same when you sell used CDs online: the better the condition, the better the price.

But we don’t just buy mint condition games and CDs. Our main concern is that they play and run according to how they were designed to. So if you’ve got used games and CDs that work, we’ll take a look at them and give you an appropriate price.

When you sell video games or CDs online on your own, you run into several problems, the most tricky of which is – how much do you ask for them? Tunes constantly monitors the market of used games and CDs, so we know what a given piece is selling for. You may have a CD that you don’t think is very valuable and sell it online for peanuts, where if you sold it to us, you might make double the amount.

The reverse is also true when you sell used CDs online: you may think the CD is pretty cool and that people will pay a high price for it. But the people out there may not think it’s as cool as you do, and no sale.

If you want to sell video games or CDs – or most other types of electronic products including guitars, laptops and iPods – you’re almost always better off going to a dealer/reseller who understands the products and will give you a quick sale at a fair market price. That sure beats stacking up your closet with things you may never use again. Contact us at any of our five locations, and let’s talk about how to get some money into your pocket.

Why do people come to Tunes’ five store locations? Some want to sell their video games to us. Others have used guitars, iPhones and music CDs. Others wanted to sell LPs online and tried it, but found it wasn’t as simple as they thought. LPs, which for you younger folks stands for “Long Playing” records, can be a tough sell if the person selling them is inexperienced in the field.

All kinds of people who grew up with vinyl record albums as their only form of purchased music have now replaced their favorite albums with CDs or digital versions. They’ve got all of these old records laying around and have no real reason to hang onto them. They want to sell LPs but aren’t sure how to go about it.

Many turn to places like eBay, thinking they’re the best way to sell LPs online. The Internet has awesome resources that allow people to sell almost anything. But record albums would be classified more in the “collectibles” category than the “general merchandise” category.

When you sell LPs, in most cases you’re selling not to people who want to buy them and start using them right away as their preferred form of music. Rather the majority of buyers are collectors who know that the value of many LPs is rising as the years go by. And most collectors are pretty up on what the albums they’re looking for are worth.

So people try to sell LPs online, and often one of two things happens: they ask for more than what the records are worth and get few bites; or they under-price them and sell them all for a fraction of what they’re worth.

Here’s a good example. Let’s say you’ve got a copy of Led Zeppelin IV in excellent condition. You (like many others) believe it’s one of the best albums ever made. So in your effort to sell LPs online, you put it out there at $10. Nobody’s going to buy it at that price, because there are simply too many copies of that album still in circulation, i.e., most serious collectors already have it.

That’s just one example of how strategy and knowledge play big parts in selling your records. And that’s why Tunes can save you a lot of hassle when you bring us your used – or sealed – record albums instead of your trying to sell LPs online. We know what they’re worth and will always give you top dollar. The guesswork is taken out of it, and the sale is quick and easy.

Interested in knowing what records in your collection are worth? Give us a call at (877) 811-3311 ahead of time to let us know you’re coming, then stop by one of our five convenient locations.

Part of the sheer joy of Light In The Attic’s excavation of Lee Hazlewood’s back catalogue has been exploring the output of his own, late ’60s label, Lee Hazlewood Industries, which issued dozens of long forgotten 45s and LPs. Whether acid-folk, country-rock, pop-psych or soul, LHI artists were united by the patronage of the underdog hero of 1960s music, the moustachioed maverick Lee Hazlewood. The best of these have been now collected in You Turned My Head Around, a lavishly packaged, 3000-edition box set of eleven 45s, featuring such LHI favorites as Suzi Jane Hokom, Honey Ltd., Kitchen Cinq, Ann-Margret, and of course the undeniable Mr Lee. Housed in a custom-made, magnetic flip-top box, the package includes an LHI adapter and a free download card for all songs (handy for when you’re away from your beloved turntable). The eleven 7″ singles each come in their own picture sleeve, making this a delight to hold, to see and to listen to. Includes Lee Hazlewood puzzle, to keep you busy on those lonely nights.

Most people know that Tunes Online sells videogames, CDs, iPods, iPhones, lap top computers and all kinds of other electronics. But many people don’t know we also sell tickets to concerts and special events.

Recently, we helped folk rock band Mumford & Sons kick off the American leg of its tour in Hoboken. The band is scheduled to play U.S. dates through August and into September.

Mumford & Sons played at Pier A Park on August 1 to about 15,000 people. It was a great show for folk rock fans and fans of the band, in general, and it marked the first major rock show to be staged at the park.

Next month, the band will release its second album, called “Babel” on the Glassnote label. At the concert, they opened with a song called “Lovers Eyes,” which is among the songs on “Babel.”

Touring is a tough element of building fans and becoming more successful for artists and bands. Most bands don’t make huge profits by touring, because the expenses can be overwhelming. Many bands actually lose money on tour, and their record companies expect it. The point of touring is to generate a bigger fan base, which will then buy the music, and that’s where the money is made.

Gene Simmons of KISS once told a joke about a band that was struggling to make it on the road. The band’s manager was upset that the band was losing money on every single show it played – and it was playing on the road constantly. One of the band members replied, “Yes, but we’re making up for it in volume.”

If the August 1 show was any indicator, Mumford & Sons isn’t facing the kind of situation Simmons joked about. And we were happy to have had a hand in helping the band kick off its tour with a big audience to enjoy its music.

The band was scheduled to play a total of 16 shows, all of them at smaller venues in places such as Laramie, Wyo.; Dixon, Ill.; and Canadaigua, N.Y. For the Hoboken show, that city was expected to get $2 for each ticket sold. The money will be used to pay for free events down the line.

The New York Times reported that Hoboken residents had 500 tickets reserved for them and that the tickets, which cost $55 each, sold out in one day.

Mumford & Sons gained a lot of notice and popularity with their single called “The Cave,” which was released in 2010. The band’s songs are mostly about romance and love and sin and redemption with plenty of biblical imagery. Like any band, they’ve had to walk that fine line between staying true to their musical roots while delivering a sound many people will like.

Tunes Online wants to wish Mumford & Sons all the luck in the world. While we sell videogames, this band will hopefully be selling out venues. You can visit their website here.

And you can continue to count on us to be the first stop for people who want to sell videogames, DVDs, LP records, CDs, guitars and all kind of other electronics. Check out our website to learn more.
